How I help / Self-Esteem
Self-Esteem
Low self-esteem rarely announces itself. It hides in perfectionism, in not putting your hand up, in comparing yourself to everyone online, in believing that being hard on yourself is the only way to stay motivated.
We work on noticing the inner critic, understanding where it learned its script, and practising a more honest, kinder way of seeing yourself. Clients are encouraged to reframe negative experiences and build evidence of their own competence — not empty positivity, but a grounded confidence that holds up under pressure.
What sessions look like
- 60-minute sessions, in person at Manor Medical Centre, Morningside Manor, Sandton — or online
- A first phase of 1–3 sessions to understand what's going on
- A plan we agree on together — frequency, goals and how parents are involved (for younger clients)
- Invoices you can submit to your medical aid, with the codes your scheme needs
